FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Is the birthday page free?
Yes. The Free plan costs nothing: up to 5 photos and 10 guests with wishes, online until 24 hours after the birthday. It can be created within the last 5 days before the birthday. For more photos and guests, a poster and a recap video, there’s Basic (€4.99) or Premium (€9.99) – a one-time payment, no subscription.
Do guests need an account or an app?
No. Guests simply open the link in their browser – on a phone or computer – and add a photo and a wish. No sign-up, no app, no password. Anyone without a photo can pick a ready-made card instead.
Can the whole family or office sign it, like a group card?
Yes – that’s exactly what it’s made for. Everyone gets the same link and adds their message, so all wishes end up together on one page. Free allows up to 10 guests, Basic up to 50 and Premium unlimited.
Will the birthday person see it before the big day?
Only if you want them to. You share the guest link with friends and family. The birthday person gets their own link that only opens on the birthday – until then the countdown runs and the surprise stays safe.
How long does the page stay online?
Free: 24 hours after the birthday. Basic: 14 days. Premium: 365 days. Basic and Premium can be booked up to a year in advance.
Can we collect money for a shared gift?
Yes, with Basic and Premium. As the organiser you can switch on a gift contribution with your PayPal details, and guests see it right on the page. You collect the money yourself – wish-ly doesn’t process any payments.
What does the birthday person get to keep?
With Basic and Premium you get a printable poster (PDF) with all photos and wishes and a recap video with the birthday melody – perfect for WhatsApp, Instagram or as a keepsake.
